Jack started his financial career as a proprietary equity trader through Fortis bank’s prime brokerage facility where he was responsible for developing and implementing quantitative investment strategies. As an equity analyst he provided Pan-European investment ideas to leading hedge funds and Tier 1 investment banks. Prior to founding Cloisters, Jack has been an independent advisor to early-stage companies helping them to successfully raise capital and deliver shareholder value. Jack established Cloisters with a view to providing private investors with greater transparency and alignment within the venture capital markets.
Robert served 6 years in the British Army and in 1983 joined JP Morgan. In 1987 he launched the European Leveraged Transaction Group for JPMorgan and subsequently founded European Acquisition Capital, an independent Private Equity investment firm. He successfully raised and invested more than €500m in three funds before leaving the business in 2006. Robert has responsibility for Private Equity investments within Lord North Street.
Paula is managing partner of John Lamb LLP, an IFA with c. £100m AUA, and has worked in the financial services industry for 40 years. Paula’s extensive knowledge and expertise extends across all areas of financial planning, enabling her to deliver comprehensive and cohesive solutions. Paula has played an important role in improving standards throughout the financial advice industry over the past few years and contributes regularly to the media. Her professional accreditations include Chartered Financial Planner, IMC and being an affiliate of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practioners).
There are no charges for
investors. Our fees are paid by the investee companies, which means 100% of
your investment will receive EIS relief. Furthermore, there are no performance
fees to reduce your net proceeds.
Cloisters members receive access to
our deal flow and can participate in syndicate with us on a case by case basis.
Members range
from private clients that would like to participate in larger venture capital opportunities to institutional clients seeking
majority stakes.
Clients may choose
to invest using a variety of vehicles including corporates, trusts and pension
schemes, SIPP and SSAS.
